What We Do
Mobility Development supports the launch and growth of community-controlled mobility programs. Our work is centered on the development, deployment, and operation of these electric carshare, bikeshare, and volunteer transportation networks across the U.S.
Operations
Our team directly operates programs and provides management services in carsharing, bikesharing, volunteer transportation and ride-hailing.
These networks are often structured through public or local non-profit ownership. These structures enable us to focus on broadening service to communities that would otherwise go unserved.
Partnerships
Mobility Development’s partners range from startup non-profit organizations to major U.S. cities to private shared mobility companies.
Our partnerships include operators, researchers, policymakers, advocates, and visionaries. We invest considerable time engaging a broad set of partners in the communities where we work. These investments help our partners build more equitable and inclusive programs, and often result in program expansion.
Technical Assistance
Mobility Development works on the ground to conceptualize programs and strategies, write and advance proposals, and then guide programs after funding has been secured.
We have worked with our partner communities to secure over $100 Million in public and private investments for mobility networks serving marginalized communities.
